Google Award for Inclusion Research

Prof. Ranger was awarded a Google Award for Inclusion Research (AIR) for his work: "Toward multimodal generalist AI for portable ultrasound to support frontline healthcare workers in Ethiopia." This program recognizes and supports academic research in computing and technology that addresses the needs of historically marginalized groups globally.

As an awardee, Prof. Ranger was invited to the Google Atlanta Office for a Collective and Society-centered AI (CSCAI) Workshop in January 2024 to give a talk about our lab’s work in this area.
