Gates Foundation Grant

Our group was awarded a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Grand Challenges Program! The official announcement can be found here. This grant will fund a highly collaborative project with our partners at Jimma University in Ethiopia. Co-Investigators on this award include: Prof. Jinhee Park (BC Nursing), Prof. Donglai Wei (BC Computer Science), Prof. Demisew Sori (Jimma University), Prof. Tsinuel Girma (Jimma University), and Prof. Melkamu Berhane (Jimma University). Through this grant, we will develop a cost-effective, portable, and automated ultrasound tool to monitor nutritional health of young pregnant women in Ethiopia.
